International Conference on Single Windows, Marrakech.
« Virtual Single window for Foreign Trade: The need of an inclusive collaboration »
From the 5th to the 7th September 2016, Cote d’Ivoire took part in the 5th edition of the international conference related to Single Windows on the following theme: “Virtual Single Window for Foreign Trade: The need for an inclusive collaboration”.
This event, organized by the AACE (African Alliance for Electronic Trade) and hosted by Morocco with Portnet provided an opportunity to Côte d’Ivoire to present its Single Window (GUCE CI), a unique and innovative technological platform providing a full compatibility with the ASYCUDAWorld Customs system.
The GUCE platform is an important tool and a powerful driving force in facilitating and strengthening the business competitiveness of a country.
According to the head of the AACE, this event aims at promoting and bringing together key stakeholders involved in the implementation of this technology.
This approach is intended to encourage Governments to build their Single Window around the fundamental principles of simplification, facilitation, swiftness, safety, transparency and performance in processing foreign trade operations.
In this context the Single Window of Cote d’Ivoire, powered by Webb Fontaine, is a modern and flexible platform enabling the facilitation of trade and administrative procedures with a view to provide optimal conditions to increase intra and extra-regional trade while ensuring an optimal control on the entire process.
