Implementation strategy
When implemented in a country GEV is loaded with initial national information from the Customs administration system namely reference data affiliated with brokers, companies, customs offices, warehouse codes, Customs examiners, taxes, budget codes, harmonized international reference codes including regimes, currencies, countries, location codes, plus the integrated tariff with corresponding rates.
GEV accommodates more than 30 reference tables which are constantly replicated online from the Customs administration server.
The implementation unit will populate GEV Data Warehouse with previous years’ transactional data.
The implementation unit will configure GEV to accommodate the country map, region maps, cities maps and customs offices maps and will enter the GPS coordinates of all Customs locations including warehouses and inland container depots.
